In Antalya, Turkey, in the area of the resort village of Konakli, a three-story hotel, where repair work was being carried out, collapsed. There were no casualties or injuries, the Turkish newspaper Turizm Ajansi reported.
The accident happened on December 5 at around 21:00 local time. After receiving a signal about the event on Gekkushagi Street, gendarmerie forces, the fire brigade of the Antalya branch of the municipality, and the emergency management brigade (AFAD) were urgently dispatched there. During the inspection, it was established that the front part of the building with rooms and balconies had completely collapsed.
Department employees conducted a detailed inspection of the scene and established that no one was in the building at the time of the collapse, otherwise, there would have been victims. In connection with what happened, an investigation was launched to find out the causes of the collapse.
DIP previously reported that tour operators revealed the cost of vacations in Turkey in December in good all-inclusive hotels. The good news is that the hotels opened in Antalya at this time – and these are mostly high-quality 5* hotels – give a good discount for this period. So, between November and the New Year holidays, you can rest cheaper by 20-25%.
