A magnitude 4.2 earthquake was registered in Greece. The earthquake was also felt in the capital Athens. Its epicenter was located 100 km northwest of the city. It is very close to the northern part of the island of Evia, where large fires have been burning for more than a week.
The earthquake occurred at a depth of 11 kilometers. No injuries or damage were reported.
