The Kiev-Batumi flight operated by the Ukrainian airline Yanair had to land at the Tbilisi airport today, newsgeorgia reports.
The delay was caused by meteorological conditions – torrential rain and fog over Batumi.
The passengers were at the Tbilisi airport for several hours. By this time, the fog had cleared and the plane had already taken off in the direction of Batumi.
“All other regular flights are on schedule. There are no more delays due to weather conditions, ”the Batumi airport told reporters.
The airport stressed that the slight delay of the Lvov-Batumi flight is not connected with the Georgian side.
