Today, the Eiffel Tower reopens to visitors after 9 months of closure due to epidemiological restrictions, according to BGNES. Tickets will be sold online.
The Eiffel Tower was closed late last year due to a pandemic. The attraction in Paris was also partially closed to visitors in the spring of 2020, when the virus began to spread across Europe.
Visitors to the Eiffel Tower must wear masks and maintain social distance.
The new restrictive measures will take effect on July 21. Visitors will be required to present a negative test result, evidence of vaccination, or COVID-19.
Currently, this rule does not apply to minors.
The Eiffel Tower is usually visited by about 7 million people annually. Last year, the number of visitors fell sharply due to epidemiological restrictions and a decrease in the number of foreign tourists.
