Paris police have faced protests protesting President Emmanuel Macron’s plan to demand a COVID-19 vaccine certificate or a negative PCR test to enter bars, restaurants and cinemas from next month.
The police used tear gas several times when the protesters overturned garbage cans and ignited a mechanical excavator. Some protesters who did not take part in the clashes wore badges reading “No health pass.”

The government’s announced intention to force health workers to be vaccinated against the coronavirus, as well as to restrict some public places, including restaurants, for people without a vaccine or a negative test, is unsettling.
Protests took place in other cities, including Nantes, Marseille and Montpellier.
According to AFP, about 2,250 people protested in the French capital, and in the country – about 20,000 people, according to BNR.
