The European Union, following Ukraine, handed over questionnaires on EU membership to Moldova and Georgia. The European Commissioner for Neighborhood and EU Enlargement Oliver Varhei wrote about this on his Twitter.
The European Commissioner said that in Luxembourg he handed over the questionnaires to Georgian Foreign Minister Ilya Darchiashvili and his Moldovan counterpart Nick Popesca. “This is the first step on your European path. We are ready to work with you very quickly to keep the EU Council informed,” he wrote.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen presented a similar questionnaire to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on April 8 during a visit to Kyiv.
