The EU has sued Hungary and Poland over LGBT rights

The European Commission has launched a lawsuit against the conservative governments of the EU member states, Hungary and Poland, in response to measures seen as discrimination against LGBT people.

“Europe will never allow us to stigmatize parts of our society: whether it is through whom they love, because of their age, ethnicity, political views or religious beliefs,” EU Commissioner Ursula von der Leyen said in a statement.
