The easyJet airline has decided to make travel easier for its passengers. You can now board one of your flights lightly: your luggage is collected from home by couriers and delivered to the desired destination upon arrival.
The new service is currently being tested. It operates on the route London – Geneva. Anyone traveling on a Flexi fare receives free delivery. Other passengers can also use the option, however, for an additional fee of €89.
If the experiment is successful, the service will be extended to other routes.
Air France recently launched a similar project. Passengers flying from Charles de Gaulle Airport are offered to check their luggage in advance at hotels and major exhibition centers in Paris. Later, the bags are picked up by couriers and delivered to the airport.
