A new master’s program in global security policy and research, approved by the Georgian authorities

On February 2, 2021, the National Center for Educational Quality Improvement of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Georgia successfully added an English-language master’s program in global policy and security research to the Caucasus International University.

This MSc was developed as part of a targeted initiative of the STCU (Science and Technology Center in Ukraine) CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) Export Control for Dual-Use Materials and Intangible Technologies in EU-funded GUAM countries.

Graduates from around the world will become experts on global security and export controls, which will help raise awareness of the CBRN threat and the importance of proper export controls in their countries. Graduates will also contribute to the development and improvement of their national export control systems, helping to achieve the main goal of combating the proliferation of WMD (weapons of mass destruction). Finally, the new graduates will also contribute to the further development of Georgia’s national export control system.

Admission to the first year will open soon and will be free for all eligible students.
