Cyprus lifts restrictions on entry to the island imposed by the coronavirus

The Republic of Cyprus today lifts restrictions on travel to the island, imposed in connection with the spread of the COVID-19 virus, suspending the two-year rules imposed by the authorities in connection with the pandemic, according to Reuters and BTA.

The island said it was abolishing the classification of other countries by color according to epidemiological risk, permission to arrive by plane from abroad and PCR tests or rapid tests for those who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

People who have not been vaccinated or have not been revaccinated will still have to pass a PCR test or a rapid test, the transport ministry said.

As of today, the requirement to present SafePass (confirmation of vaccination, revaccination or negative test) in outlets, except for catering outlets, is also abolished.
