As of today, Bulgaria is closing its borders to foreigners from Andorra, Malta and Georgia. Entry is restricted due to the deteriorating epidemiological situation in these countries.
This is another group of countries whose citizens are temporarily unable to enter the territory of Bulgaria. This restriction already applies to the United Kingdom, Spain, Cyprus and other countries.
Also, the Ministry of Health of Bulgaria allowed tourists from the Netherlands to enter the country only in the presence of a negative PCR test. Tourists from the Netherlands, who arrived by charter on July 26, will be able to enter the territory of Bulgaria with an antigen test.
The ban does not apply to Bulgarian citizens, foreigners with a residence permit and their families entering from countries in the “red zone”. And upon entry, they must take a negative COVID-19 test, regardless of whether they have been vaccinated or not.
