The Austrian authorities have decided to remove all covid restrictions on entry into the country for foreign travelers from May 13. Relevant information is posted on the official website of the tourism office of the republic.
In particular, the 3G rule is canceled from Monday. That is, to cross the border, a tourist will not have to present a vaccination certificate, PCR test results, or a medical certificate of COVID-19.
In addition, the epidemiological differentiation of states according to the degree of spread of the coronavirus ceases to operate. In fact, uniform entry rules are established for travelers, regardless of the country of arrival. This follows from the updated protocols published by the Ministry of Health of the Republic.
Thus, from next week, a tourist will only need a passport and a Schengen visa to travel to Austria.
