The ceremony was held at the city courthouse in San Juan (Puerto Rico). Argentina legalized same-sex marriage in 2010, and Puerto Rico has allowed it since 2015.
The girls met in 2020 at the Miss Grand International contest in Thailand, where they represented their countries. After they got into the top 10 of the competition, they became friends and continued to communicate through social networks. They kept their relationship under wraps.
