After a long break, the US Embassy in Havana has resumed processing immigrant visa applications for Cuban citizens.
It is also expected to expand consular services in the future.
In recent years, Cuban citizens wishing to immigrate had to apply in person to the US diplomatic missions in Colombia and Guyana to submit documents.
