Tourists planning a trip to the UK will pay more. The country’s authorities are going to increase the cost of visas. The corresponding statement was published on the official website of the Cabinet of Ministers.
The new tariffs will come into force on October 4. Thus, the cost of a visitor visa will increase by £15, and the application fee for a student visa will increase by £127.
Thus, a visitor visa, which allows you to stay in the country for up to six months, will cost £115, and a student visa will cost £490.
“Fee revenue plays a vital role in the Home Office’s ability to manage a sustainable immigration and citizenship system,” it said.
The changes will affect a number of other migration documents, including a medical visa.
