Thai Privilege Co. Ltd. under the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Thailand announced the abolition of 8 types of visas of the Thailand Elite program. Instead of them, 4 types of long-term visas will now operate – Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and Reserve.
The new Elite Card packages will include points that entitle you to certain privileges, which can be exchanged for branded services of program partners. For example, one can get airport transfers, expedited immigration, airport lounges, and more.
The Gold visa is a 5-year membership card worth 900,000 baht (over $25,000). It will accrue 20 privilege points annually, giving the right to transfer from the airport to purchases.
Platinum gives a visa validity of 10 years, its price is 1.5 million baht (about $43,000). The owner will earn 35 points annually, which can be redeemed for services such as VIP seats, and wellness and spa treatments.
The Diamond visa will be issued for 15 years and will cost 2.5 million baht ($71,000). Each year, 55 points will be credited to the card. The list of privileges for cardholders will expand from free domestic flights to the services of a financial advisor.
The Reserve visa is by invitation only, valid for 20 years, and can be purchased for 5 million baht ($143,000). The card will give you 120 points per year, including privileges from The Reserve Club to test drive supercars.
For the convenience of program participants, the Thai Privilege mobile application will be launched, in which you can track and check your points. Elite visa at the current price can be purchased until September 15th.
Thailand Elite is a residence visa that allows its holder to live comfortably in the country during its entire validity period. The number of entries and exits on it is not limited, the only negative is that it is very expensive. Only wealthy travelers can afford such a visa. Now the minimum cost is 600,000 baht ($17,000).
