Vietnam imposes a mandatory 21-day quarantine

According to the decision of the municipal leadership, starting from July 22, 2021 in Hanoi, a mandatory 21-day quarantine will be introduced in specially designated places for those arriving in the city.

The requirement applies to all visitors, regardless of nationality and status, who have visited the following regions of Vietnam:

– TP HCM
– Bình Dương
– Jung Nai
– TP Cần Thơ
– Bình Phước
– Tyay Ninh
– Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu
– Tiền Giang
– Long An
– Long
– Đồng Tháp
– B Tren Tre
– Hu Giang
– An Giang
– Bạc Liêu
– Sóc Trăng
– Trá Vinh
– Cà Mau
– Kien Giang

The innovation is introduced within the powers of the city authorities to strengthen the requirements set out in the Vietnamese Government Directive № 16 / CT-TTg of 31 March 2020 on combating the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, source https://bit.ly/2W9cOLl

Quarantine services ask everyone to refrain from traveling from other settlements in Hanoi.

The embassy urges the citizens of Ukraine to adhere to the rules of social distancing and quarantine restrictions and to follow the recommendations of the quarantine services of Vietnam.

The embassy has no authority to influence the decisions of the quarantine services of Vietnam to reduce the quarantine period, to remove citizens from places defined as quarantine zones, or to assist in any other way to end quarantine restrictions on Ukrainian citizens.
