The plant in the United States destroyed 15 million doses of J&J vaccine against coronavirus

According to The New York Times, about 15 million doses of a single coronavirus vaccine produced by Johnson & Johnson have been ruined due to factory errors in the United States, which has hit the company’s efforts to increase production rapidly.

In response to an AFP request, the pharmaceutical giant said it had found a batch of doses “that did not meet quality standards” at a plant in Baltimore run by Emergent BioSolutions, but did not confirm the specific number of doses.

The company also stated that the batch “never reached the stages of filling and finishing our production process.” “Quality and safety remain our top priority,” the statement said.
