British Prime Minister Boris Johnson does not expect Russian President Vladimir Putin to use tactical nuclear weapons in Ukraine. At the same time, the Ministry of Defense announced that anti-ship missiles would be sent to Ukraine in a few weeks.
“Given Russia’s massive support for what he’s doing, given Russia’s clear disregard for what’s really going on in Ukraine, the paradox is that Putin has more political room to retreat,” Boris Johnson told Talk TV.
According to him, it is very important that the West does not accept the way the Russians are trying to present what is happening in Ukraine.
Meanwhile, Undersecretary of Defense James Hipey told members of the House of Commons that he would deliver Brimstone anti-ship missiles to Ukraine in a few weeks.
This type of missile is designed to hit fast moving targets on land and water and is usually launched from aircraft. However, in this case, they are likely to be installed on armored personnel carriers.
Hipey noted that this new shipment is in response to Kyiv’s request for longer-range missiles.
