At least 15 people have been killed in a massive fire that engulfed the Rohingya refugee camp in Bangladesh, while 400 remain missing, the UN refugee agency said on Tuesday.
“It’s large-scale, it’s destructive,” said UNHCR’s Johannes van der Klaau, who joined the briefing in Geneva from almost Dhaka, Bangladesh. “We still have 400 people left without records, perhaps somewhere in the rubble,” he said.
He added that UNHCR reported 560 wounded and 45,000 displaced.
