The march of Ukrainian mothers took place in Budapest on the eve of the election

On April 2, on the eve of the parliamentary elections in Budapest, the March of Mothers took place – a peaceful march of Ukrainian women who were forced to temporarily move with their children to Hungary in the hope of security.

The Mothers’ March brought together more than 500 Ukrainian and Hungarian mothers. They were also joined by representatives of the Hungarian intelligentsia, theater actors, TV presenters, independent media and others.

Mothers walked the central streets of the city holding dolls in bloody sheets, symbolizing hundreds of child deaths at the hands of the Russian military. At the end of the procession, the participants created an installation in the form of a mass grave of dolls, soft toys, flowers and lamps.

The purpose of the march is to draw the attention of Hungarians to the terrible children’s tragedies in Ukraine caused by Russian aggression, to tell about the suffering and death of Ukrainian children and war crimes in Russia.

“Despite the very difficult political situation in Hungary, I would like to remind you that politicians and their priorities are not about humanity and they always do what is more profitable. In all countries, – shares Dasha Malakhova – the ideological organizer of the March of Mothers around the world. – Many countries support Ukraine. The Hungarian leadership openly supports the old and profitable maniac friend, but… The Hungarian people and the country help Ukrainians a lot. People with big hearts live here, my children speak Hungarian and I don’t care what happens in this country! ”

The Mothers’ March is taking place around the world for the third week in a row. Peaceful rallies gathered thousands of women in major cities in America and Europe. The participants of the march spoke about the suffering and death of Ukrainian children in the squares and streets of New York, Atlanta, Berlin, Munich, Prague, Vienna, Budapest, Warsaw, Brussels, Milan, Paris, Sultzmat, Larnaca, Paphos and Nicosia. In some cities the actions have already taken place 2-3 times. The Mothers’ March attracted the attention of many of the world’s leading media, and Ukrainian women brought their stories of the suffering of Ukrainian children and Russia’s war crimes to millions of people around the world.

The actions will continue, their geography is expanding every Sunday. Mother’s Marches are currently planned in Bratislava, Bucharest, Krakow, Istanbul and other cities around the world.
