In Dubai, three women of African descent were convicted of assaulting an Asian man and then blackmailing them with nude photos. It is noted that the defendants will spend three years in prison, as well as pay a fine of 28 thousand dirhams (US $ 7.6 thousand).
According to the case file, the women lured the man to the hotel with a photograph of a blonde European woman, which was sent on the WhatsApp messenger. The defendants exchanged phone numbers with the victim and agreed to meet at the hotel for dinner.
When the man arrived at the hotel, the gang ambushed him. In the hotel room, they undressed him and took a picture, after which they stole 120 dirhams in cash and a credit card.
According to the victim, the women threatened to kill him if he did not give a pin code from a credit card. The defendants withdrew money from the card and kept the victim bound in the room until five in the morning, after which they returned the money to him and allowed him to leave.
The man waited in the car until they left the hotel and got into a taxi, after which he reported the incident to the police. Patrol officers almost immediately detained two women, and subsequently a third.
