After lifting all restrictions related to COVID-19, international tourists dream of returning to Dubai. Thus, the Emirate topped the list of most desirable destinations for travel, according to a study by travel portal Wego Travel.
Wego users would like to go to Dubai this spring. In second place in the list of their advantages – New York, in third place – Bangkok, which moved from the pedestal of Dubai in the ranking of favorite places for summer vacation.
According to the portal, travel will be greatly simplified by the so-called health passports – they can be used both for boarding the flight and in everyday life – for a trip to the gym or cinema. Meanwhile, the quarantine policy of a number of countries is still a deterrent for many travelers.
The UAE has done a tremendous job of deterring COVID-19 and is conducting vaccinations at a record rate. At the moment, the country is at a stage when residents at risk have either already been vaccinated or will soon be vaccinated, which inspires optimism in the tourism industry.
It will be recalled that a preliminary PCR test for the COVID-19 coronavirus is mandatory for all tourists and residents arriving in Dubai. The shelf life of the tests has been reduced from 96 to 72 hours (before the flight to Dubai).
If the result is positive, travelers will be quarantined, which they will have to pay for themselves. In this regard, all visitors must take out insurance to cover treatment for COVID-19 and stay in the observatory.
At the airport of arrival, travelers will also have to fill out a health declaration. Newcomers will need to install the mobile application of the Dubai Health Department COVID19 – DXB Smart App on their smartphones.
