Dubai cancels tax on alcohol sales

According to The Media line, the authorities of Dubai (UAE) have abolished the 30% tax on the sale of alcohol to stimulate the development of business and tourism.

Also, the authorities of the emirate have canceled the fee for obtaining a license to purchase alcohol, which was previously charged to non-Muslim residents of Dubai.

Innovations will operate for a year as an experiment.

The authorities have taken such decisions to make Dubai more attractive to tourists. Dubai liquor distributors Maritime and Mercantile International (MMI) and African & Eastern said they would cut liquor prices soon.
