Dubai’s Burj Khalifa is the most visited Google Street View icon in the Middle East and North Africa. The day before, Google announced the top 10 places in the region with the highest number of views by users in panorama mode over the past year.

Street View offers users panoramic images of streets around the world, allowing people to view them directly from their computer or phone. Google uses images With Street View’s 360-degree panoramas, you can discover new attractions from the comfort of your home, including in the Middle East and North Africa.
Street View was first launched in the region, more specifically in the UAE, in 2013. Today the service is available in Jordan, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates, and other countries. The Meroe Pyramids in Sudan is one of Street View’s most recent projects.
Globally, over the past 15 years, special vehicles equipped for photography have traveled more than 10 million kilometers – a distance that is 400 times the equator – and collected more than 220 billion images. On Google Street View you can see historical images of some of these places and how they have changed over time.
