Turkey may be followed by the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Jordan, and Egypt, Israeli tourists have been warned in the local media by the security and diplomatic services of the Jewish state. For them, the terrorist threat in the Persian Gulf and the Middle East comes from Iran and may become inevitable, they say. Tourists from other countries may be hit by accident.
It will be recalled that Turkey was declared the first dangerous country for Israeli tourists. The country even deserved the highest level of danger and received a call for tourists to leave immediately. However, it cannot be said that tourists reacted to this properly. Citing unnamed Israeli security officials, the media said the threat to Israeli tourists could spread throughout the Persian Gulf and the Middle East. It is “not concrete, it can become inevitable” in repression. So far, the Israeli National Security Council’s Counter-Terrorism Bureau has officially declared the maximum level of danger only for trips to Istanbul – the fourth level stipulates that Israelis should not travel to Istanbul, and any tourists who are there should leave immediately.
However, the non-recommendation has already been issued to other areas. “I would advise Israelis not to go there, and if they do, they should be especially careful,” an unnamed diplomatic source told local media, citing trips to the UAE, Bahrain, Jordan, and Egypt.
Defense Minister Benny Ganz said Israel had received intelligence that several Iranian terrorist groups were actively trying to “hunt down Israelis” through social media and tourist sites in Istanbul. “Israel is working to thwart Iranian attempts to attack and is preparing to respond by force to any threat to Israeli citizens around the world,” he said. Prime Minister Naftali Bennett also did not reassure tourists. “Israel’s defense establishment is working to stop terrorist attacks before they can be carried out,” he said.
Theoretically, no one threatens other tourists. However, no one has ruled out the risk of being handed out.
