A 24-year-old passenger on a Dubai-Milan flight gave birth to a child on board the aircraft, Sky News reports.
According to the publication, the girl went into labor during the flight. The captain of the airliner, owned by Emirates, turned to passengers for help, among whom, by luck, was a surgeon.
At an altitude of more than 10 thousand meters above Iran, a child weighing 3 kilograms was born. Upon arrival, an ambulance was waiting for the young mother and her newborn. The woman and baby are doing well.
A special commission is looking into how a heavily pregnant woman was allowed on board. After all, as you know, flying for a period exceeding 28 weeks is possible only with the appropriate medical certificate.
