Ukrainian helicopters with night vision devices are involved in extinguishing forest fires in Antalya, which further increases the efficiency of localizing fires. This was announced by the Consul of Ukraine in Antalya Emir Rustamov.
The diplomat recalled that Ukraine sent three AN-32P aircraft and four helicopters to Turkey to fight forest fires.
“The four newly arrived helicopters are equipped with night vision devices for the pilots. The teams received special training. This makes it possible to fight fire at night,” said the Consul General.
Rustamov noted that the AN-32P crew also has extensive experience in fire zones.
“Ukrainian aircraft are effectively fighting fires in Turkey. So far, about 500 tons of water have been dumped on the fires,” the diplomat said.
Rustamov expressed hope that the fires in Turkey will soon be completely extinguished.
“Ukraine, as a friendly country, is doing and is ready to do everything possible in the future to provide assistance to Turkey. We are here and will continue to provide support to the last. Three Ukrainian firefighting planes and four helicopters are operating in the fire zone. If the need arises, we can send additional ones,” the Consul General added.
