According to the Hurriyet Daily News, a large fire broke out in two different parts of the southern Turkish region of Antalya.
The fire destroyed dozens of hectares of forest and led to the evacuation of people from five settlements.
Teams from neighboring countries joined the fight against the fire. According to the authorities, 19 helicopters and 103 fire engines with 412 firefighters are working on the spot, but so far their efforts to contain the fire have not been successful.
“We hope to deal with this fire without casualties. We hope to stop its spread as soon as possible. All aspects of the incident will be investigated and the victims of the fire will be fully supported, “said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
