A British tourist became the heroine of a scandalous incident, during which she and her children illegally entered a luxurious all-inclusive hotel in Turkey and repeatedly used its services. A thieving tourist’s TikTok revelation about her free holiday and fancy meals at an all-inclusive Turkish hotel has been quoted by shocked Turkish travel media.
It was clarified that 39-year-old Roksana Balciunas, together with her two children, 13 and 6 years old, spent an illegal vacation at the Ramada Hotel & Suites in Kusadasi, using her old bracelets. She had previously stayed at this hotel in May and upon returning to the UK thought she would be able to use them again for access to the hotel grounds, pool, and restaurant. The free tourist also assumed that she would be able to surprise her mother, who was vacationing there at that time, with an unexpected visit.
The desperate traveler booked a new room at the same hotel for July 7 but flew in with her children a week earlier, rented an inexpensive apartment 10 minutes walk from the hotel, and used the same wristbands as on the first trip to get into the five-star hotel. All week, the tourist and her children ate for free at the “buffet table”, ate ice cream, enjoyed drinks, and relaxed in the hotel pool.
In a video posted by a personally satisfied British woman on TikTok on July 12, the scammer admitted: “You can call me a thief all you want, but I enjoyed food and drinks during the week.” She also noted that during their illegal stay, they ate and drank much more than during their official stay at the hotel they paid for.
The tourist herself claimed that her family vacations every month in luxury 4* and 5* hotels with “all-inclusive” service and success must have smiled on them because, during the second stay at the hotel, the bracelets they used were the same color as during the first stay. Thanks to this, no one could stop them.
“My mom booked her vacation just a week ago, at the last minute. I told her about this hotel, and when I found our May bracelets, I thought, “That’s great.” I was just playing around, telling the kids, “We’re going to go and eat their food.” At first, I just wanted to joke with the kids, but then we did it. I booked a room next door to go and surprise my mom. I used bracelets to enter the territory and it worked. The hotel we stayed in was clean, but too basic: when we go on vacation, we always choose four or five-star all-inclusive hotels. They (security) didn’t check wristbands when we first entered. My son said it was pretty funny. Every time we ate something he would say, “Free chips, free food.” This made the vacation even more exciting because everything was free for us. I think I ate more this time than the last time we paid for a vacation.”
The British woman’s video, where she bragged about her illegal stay at the hotel, received many likes and comments. The tourist noted that by posting the video on TikTok, there is a possibility that the hotel itself will see it, and it will be difficult for her to avoid trouble.
