The number of weekly flights of Turkish airlines between Russia and Turkey increased by more than 100, bringing the total number of flights to 290 per week. This was announced by Rostourism Director Zarina Doguzova in the Telegram.
Since April 29, the number of weekly flights of Turkish airlines between our countries has increased by more than 100, and flights are operated from different regions of Russia. Thus, the total number of flights will reach 290 per week – some of the airlines will operate flights until May 15, with a possible extension of this period. I hope that this will allow tour operators to gradually begin to fulfill their obligations to tourists, writes Doguzova.
She also noted that from May 6, Aeroflot will start operating flights to Antalya and Istanbul up to twice a day, according to BTA.
Recently, due to Western sanctions, the Turkish destination has become one of the priorities for Russian tourists. The number of flights to Turkey is growing. Two Russian companies are already flying to Antalya: Pegas Fly and AZUR air. Aeroflot also announced its intention to return flights to the Maldives on May 13. Airbus A330 aircraft have also been announced in this direction.
