A Turkish Airlines flight flying from Istanbul to Marrakech made an emergency landing in Algiers due to the suicide of a passenger on board, Haber7 reports.
According to the portal, the conductors suspected something was wrong when the foreign passenger went to the toilet room, locked himself in it and did not come out for a long time. Aircraft personnel had to break down the door.
First aid to the passenger, who was taken out of the toilet in an unconscious state, was provided by flight attendants and a doctor who was on the plane.
After a forced landing in Algiers, the doctors who arrived at the airport pronounced the passenger dead.
The incident on board was classified as a suicide.
