Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy said during a briefing that the country earned a record $46 billion from tourism in 2022. Ersoy’s speech was broadcast on his Twitter page.
“In 2022, tourism revenues brought a record more than $46 billion. Turkey became the best in the world in this indicator after the pandemic,” he said.
The minister believes that in 2023 Turkey is able to set a new record of $56 billion. At the same time, he expressed confidence that by 2028 tourism revenues will bring the republic at least $100 billion annually. According to Ersoy, up to 90 million tourists.
