Even though August is coming to an end, the weather still allows you to enjoy the beaches and swimming. More precisely, it even attracts everyone to the coast in search of freshness. Everyone knows that if a green flag flies on the beach, swimming is allowed, and if it is red, then entry into the water is prohibited. In these two cases, there is no doubt. However, the yellow flag creates a lot of confusion.
What does it mean if a yellow flag flutters on the beach?
Representatives of the Spanish Civil Guard say that in this case it is forbidden to be far from the coast. Care must be taken as swimming can be dangerous for swimmers due to the surf. Also, the reasons for setting a yellow flag may be pollution of the coastal zone, the presence of jellyfish or other inhabitants, as well as dangerous objects.
