Tourists named 15 annoying mistakes during a flight

Travelers named 15 mistakes that it is better not to make during flights. DailyMail tells you more about them.

According to the publication, a corresponding survey was conducted among 2,000 travelers. According to the results, 48 percent of respondents named drinking too much alcohol during a flight as their number one mistake. In second place was the desire to “shorten the queue,” for example, at the entrance to the plane. On the third – reclining the chair while serving food and drinks.

The rest of the top ten list of “mistakes”, compiled according to the results of the OnePoll study commissioned by Skyscanner, included:

  • sudden seat recline during the flight (fourth place, 40 percent);
  • using gadgets without headphones (fifth place, 35 percent);
  • jumping up immediately after a plane lands (sixth place, 33 percent);
  • placing a bag on someone else’s chair for one’s convenience (seventh place, 31 percent);
  • the use of two armrests at once (eighth place, 31 percent);
  • throwing hair over the back of the seat (ninth place, 28 percent);
  • use of several seats in the departure lounge at once (tenth place, 28 percent).

In 11th place, there is a mistake when a person forgets about the norms for transporting liquids and thereby slows down the queue.

  • lack of a passport or boarding pass in hand and, as a result, a delay in the queue (24 percent);
  • removing shoes and socks in-flight (22 percent);
  • creating a situation that blocks access to the bus or ramp (22 percent);
  • queue delays due to overpacking (21 percent).

When it comes to proper behavior on an airplane, 74 percent of those surveyed believe that before pressing the “recline” button, you should ask the person sitting behind you if he or she minds.

84 percent of those surveyed would support a rule prohibiting passengers from reclining their seats while food and drinks are served. At the same time, 69 percent were in favor of disembarking the plane in rows to avoid crowding at the exit.

During the survey, participants also answered the question of whether they were among those whose behavior could be considered annoying during a flight. 12 percent admitted that they had committed actions that they noted as undesirable. For example, they stood up as soon as the plane landed to quickly leave the plane, or took off their shoes during the flight.
