According to AFP news agency, foreign tourists are massively canceling vacation bookings in Paris due to ongoing unrest.
So, according to the head of the Paris Tourism Bureau Jean-Francois Rial, tourists have already canceled a quarter of all bookings in the French capital. “Today in Paris, due to the wave of violence, we already have thousands of cancellations,” he said, adding that he would not be surprised “if these numbers are the same throughout France.”
Earlier on June 29, US authorities issued a warning to its citizens traveling to or staying in France. Americans are advised to “avoid mass gatherings and areas of significant police activity as these may escalate into violence and lead to clashes.”
