A British tourist vacationing in Italy dipped his feet in the famous fountain located at the foot of the Spanish Steps.
It is noted that the 42-year-old traveler arrived in Rome when the temperature in the city exceeded 40 degrees Celsius. To cool off, the Briton, languishing from the heat, decided to dip his feet in the fountain.
The actions of the Briton drew the attention of the police. They fined the man 500 euros and forbade him to return to this area of the city.
In early June, an American tourist on a scooter caused 1.5 million damage to the Spanish Steps in Rome. At first, she tried to slide down the steps of the cult monument of the Italian capital together with her companion, and then she threw it and the device slid down, damaging several thresholds of the marble staircase. The traveler was fined $430 and she was also banned from approaching the attraction for life.
