According to the Office of Culture and Tourism of the province of Antalya (Turkey), the foreign tourist flow to the region from the beginning of the year to date has exceeded 9 million people, it has increased by 164% compared to the same period last year.
Since January 2021, 9,002,217 people have entered the province through the airports of Antalya and Gazipasa (last year – 3,410,044 people).
The leader in terms of tourist flow is Russia, in second place is Ukraine, and in third and fourth, respectively, Germany and Poland.
Turkish Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy said that his country turned out to be the most dynamically recovering tourist market in the Mediterranean.
In 2022, Turkey plans to achieve the indicators of the pre-crisis 2019 in terms of foreign tourist flow.
