The newspaper la Nazione writes that an American tourist died while climbing the dome of the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiori in Florence (Italy).
A 67-year-old man felt unwell on the observation deck of the famous dome designed by Brunelleschi. Two ambulances arrived at the scene. The tourist was evacuated from a height of 91 m and sent to the hospital, but he died on the way to the medical facility.
The administration of the cathedral warns tourists about the danger of climbing if they have health problems, especially with the heart and blood vessels.
In April 2018, a Japanese tourist died while climbing the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
