Resonance Consultancy has released its annual ranking of the 100 Best Cities in the World, a data-driven and perception-based list that evaluates global urban centres across 34 different metrics. These include transportation, cultural vibrancy, nightlife, business environment, education, connectivity, and overall liveability.
The evaluation is built on three major pillars:
- Livability (infrastructure, transit, digital access),
- Lovability (culture, dining, nightlife, museums),
- Prosperity (investment, economic performance, global influence).
For the 11th consecutive year, London claims the title of the world’s best city, praised for its unparalleled connectivity, cultural power and economic magnetism. New York holds on to second place, while Paris remains firmly in third.
The most notable shift this year: Madrid has overtaken Singapore, climbing into the top 5 thanks to its thriving nightlife, major urban renewal projects and investments in green spaces. Sydney drops out of the top 10, while Dubai re-enters the ranking at number eight.
