The widow who lost both her husband and son in the Titan bathyscaphe told how the crew spent the last minutes of their lives

“They went down in the dark to their favorite music”, – this is how the widow, who lost both her husband and son in the Titan bathyscaph, told how the crew spent the last minutes of their lives.

Christine Dawood, the wife of British-Pakistani millionaire Shahzada Dawood and mother of Suleman Dawood, spoke about the latest demands of the crew and what the underwater tourists were up to.

“My husband was as excited as a child at the prospect of seeing the wreckage of the Titanic,” she says. According to the Independent, Ms. Dawood said the crew had been ordered to wear thick socks and a hat because of the extreme cold. They were also told to make a playlist of their favorite songs to play via Bluetooth during the descent.

She also said that the family hoped to set a new world record and even submitted an application to the Guinness Book of Records. Suleiman Dawood, the teenager who died on the Titanic submarine, took a Rubik’s cube with him because he wanted to break the world record. He planned not only to solve the puzzle at a depth of 3,700 meters below the surface of the ocean but also to do it as quickly as possible. “The father even took a camera to record this moment,” she says, assuring that the Rubik’s cube was her son’s favorite game and assembled it in just 12 seconds, “amazing the audience.”
