As a resort, Tunisia cannot compete with Turkey and Egypt for many reasons, including a Soviet-era entourage, a tourism official said in a blog post.
The travel agent noted that in the spring the range of destinations open to travel will be diluted by Tunisia, which does not require visas from foreign vacationers if they arrive in the hot country for up to 90 days. The expert said that the choice of hotels there is ten times less than in Turkey, and not everyone is suitable for a good holiday. “The lion’s share of what is – it’s buildings of the 60s of last century, which, combined with the considerable cost of the tour is already pretty repulsive,” – she said, adding that prices for such “threes” start from 29 thousand hryvnia.
Among the obvious disadvantages, the expert attributed the possibility of a shortage of seats in the restaurant, monotonous food, “tired” rooms, in which repairs and furniture have not been updated for a long time. Particularly dissatisfied with Tunisia, or rather – hotel facilities and service, are tourists who are accustomed to vacation in Turkey and Egypt. After Tunisia, they go to their favorite destinations to “heal mental wounds.” According to the author, the staff in hotels in Tunisia is not customer-oriented, as they have no financial motivation – pay staff a little, $ 150-300.
This area is suitable only for lovers of beach holidays. “But, again, blue water and white sand can draw some of your attention in that direction. The entrance to the sea is gentle, but there is one point: there may be algae. Because of this, the beaches are cleaned every day, “said the travel agent.
Fans of diving and snorkeling will be bored here because the “sea here is empty”, for example, compared to the Egyptian Red Sea. The author also said that Tunisia can now be called a peaceful country, where the capital is somewhat reminiscent of Europe and has a secular life. However, tourists should remember about Muslim customs and not wear too open clothes when going there on vacation.
