Impatient passengers “rushing” to the restrooms, when the “fasten seat belts” sign is still on, and the flight attendant’s cart is already moving down the aisle, irritate crew members the most. At least that’s what flight attendant Sid Hogan said on Tiktok. In a video posted on social media, she showed how annoying it is when passengers stand up and flight attendants push a cart full of drinks down the aisle.
“Start service shortly after climb to 10,000 feet. The seat belt sign is still on,” she said in the video. And then she moved the camera to the passenger standing in the aisle and blocks him. “Our immediately seized guest to use the toilet – he sees that we are getting up, therefore, he can. When the “fasten seat belts” sign is still on, it’s very annoying,” the flight attendant said.
The video has been viewed over 200,000 times. Many commentators agreed on how annoying it is when passengers do this. “Damn it, I go crazy every time someone does this. You can’t help but jump after takeoff and not interfere with everyone, can’t you hold out for 20 minutes? Sit back.” There were, however, representatives of the “irritable”: “Sorry, it’s me, but I always need to go to the toilet. I even walk before takeoff, but this is not enough, ”commented one of them.
Passengers also asked why flight attendants can get up and start service while the seatbelt sign is on. “Serious question, how safe is it for you guys to be on your feet compared to the passengers?” they asked. The stewardess in response admitted that the crew team unfastened a little earlier and the plane had already reached a safe height by that time. “The ‘fasten your seatbelts’ sign is basically on to help us with service at the beginning of the flight so we don’t get disturbed. Getting up is safe. But when you do that, you are very annoying, ”the author of the video said.
