In Thailand, in the coastal waters of the island of Krabi, the most dangerous creatures in the world, box jellyfish, were seen. Tourists have been warned that meeting this marine life is deadly, Phuket Express reports.
Employees of the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources (DMCR) noticed a concentration of poisonous jellyfish near Ao Nam Mao Pier in Ao Nang and asked vacationers to be extremely careful in the water, and also told tourists how to behave if contact with a deadly sea creature could not be avoided.
It is noted that the place where the jellyfish stung should in no case be washed with water or alcohol. To avoid the occurrence of allergic reactions, it is necessary to wash the affected skin area with vinegar for 30 seconds.
The box jellyfish or sea wasp is the most poisonous jellyfish of its kind and is also considered perhaps the most dangerous creature in the world. She became famous for having poison in her tentacles that could kill an adult. The touch of her venomous tentacles on the body is so painful that most of those stung die within minutes from pain shock, cardiac arrest, or drowning.
According to some reports, over the past hundred years, about a hundred people have died from the poison of a jellyfish.
The last death occurred in June 2023 in the Philippines. A 31-year-old tourist became a victim of a sea wasp.
