During an acrobatic performance on August 14 in the largest theme park in Germany “Europa Park”, located in the city of Rust, an accident occurred with one of the rides.
Seven people were injured in the incident – five of the show’s performers and two spectators. It is important to note that under the structure, 25 meters high, there was a pool 3 meters deep. When falling, the artists fell into the water, which prevented more serious consequences.
Three victims were hospitalized. The causes of the accident are currently under investigation, but it is tentatively believed that the incident could have been caused by the corrosion of metal elements.
This is the second incident in the park this summer season: on June 19, a significant fire broke out in one of the themed areas, but no one was injured this time.
