In the popular resort area of Fethiye in Turkey (Mugla province), the body of a missing tourist from Germany was found after 24 days. It was found by other travelers in the Celebeklera Vadis – “Valley of Butterflies”.
The body of the missing 27-year-old German Fabian Philipp Farants Wetzel, who left his hotel on October 7 and stopped communicating, immediately became the object of a police investigation, the Dailysabah newspaper clarified. Gendarmerie units and volunteers searched for the missing traveler, but their actions did not yield results for a long time. After 24 days, tourists who were walking in the valley in the Faraliya area reported to the police that they saw a human body at the bottom of the cliff.
The preliminary version of the investigation — the missing tourist died due to a fall from a cliff. After the examination by the prosecutor’s office, the body was sent to the forensic medical institution of Mugla.
