Thailand to update entry rules for tourists from June 1

Таїланд з 1 червня оновить правила в'їзду для туристів

According to The Thaiger, Thailand will update the entry rules from June 1, but no fundamental changes in sanitary protocols are expected.

For example, the Thailand Pass has been preserved – it is a prerequisite for entry for foreign tourists. At the same time, the authorities promise that from June 1, the document will be issued faster – the tourist will receive a QR code automatically immediately after applying (at the moment, the waiting time is 48 hours).

In addition to the Thailand Pass, vaccinated tourists will need a vaccination certificate and insurance covering $10,000 to enter.

Unvaccinated guests of the country who did not have time to pass a PCR or rapid test before flying to Thailand will be able to be tested at the airport upon arrival, otherwise, they will have to undergo a five-day quarantine. The unvaccinated will also need insurance.

In addition, from June 1, nightclubs will open in Thailand in safe zones in terms of COVID-19 – in the “green” (14 provinces) and the “blue” (17 provinces). Bars, pubs, nightclubs, massage parlors, and karaoke bars will be open until 24:00.
