From June 1, Thailand will significantly simplify the rules for the entry of tourists. In particular, quarantine for foreign travelers arriving in the kingdom is completely canceled, regardless of vaccination status.
Thus, vaccinated tourists when crossing the border of Thailand must have an appropriate certificate, medical insurance with a minimum coverage of 10 thousand US dollars, and a passport. Unvaccinated individuals will require a negative PCR test result valid for 72 hours instead of a vaccination certificate.
As for the Thailand Pass, it has not been canceled. However, now it is formed not within a few days, but within only 1–2 hours after the necessary documents are uploaded to the platform.
It is worth noting that, in addition, Thailand has opened 34 checkpoints at land borders with Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, and Myanmar for entry. According to observers, this could be a great opportunity for tourists to dilute their holidays in the kingdom with excursions to neighboring countries, as it was before the pandemic.
