The authorities of the Spanish resort of Malaga have decided to ban tourists from nudity and “erotic objects” in public places. The Daily Mail writes about it.
It is noted that the European resort is popular mainly with British tourists due to cheap flights and vibrant nightlife. Nevertheless, local authorities intend to fight large-scale stag and hen parties travelers like to arrange at the resort. Thus, the new law will prohibit walking and appearing on the streets of the city in underwear, clothes, or accessories depicting genitals, as well as taking sex dolls or other items of an erotic nature with you.
Violators of the order will face a fine of up to 750 euros. If the incident happens in front of educational institutions, playgrounds, or in a place where minors are nearby, the penalty will increase to 1,500 euros.
Tourism brought the city £8.4bn in summer 2021, Malaga’s mayor said, but “it’s time to speak up” and stem the rise in reports of antisocial behavior.
In June, it was reported that Spain’s Costa del Sol decided to shed its reputation as the “European party capital”. Thus, tourist apartments and hotels should be equipped with noise monitoring devices, limit promotions for free alcohol in hotels, and some provinces ban the sale of booze at night.
