The Philippines is launching a new electronic tourist registration system e-Travel.
According to the Department of Tourism of the Philippines, the novelty will provide greater mobility to tourists and provide an improved travel experience.
For example, the old One Health Pass system, discontinued on December 5, was replaced by the etravel.gov.ph website, which aims to simplify data entry and collection. Also, the Bureau of Immigration has stopped using paper arrival cards.
The e-Travel website contains an electronic arrival form that travelers must complete and submit when entering the Philippines to clear immigration. Registration in the system is free.
As a reminder, when entering the Philippines, tourists are still required to provide a vaccination certificate or an antigen test, which takes a maximum of 24 hours before entry. You can get to the country’s capital Manila with connections on flights of Emirates, Turkish Airlines, Etihad Airways, Qatar Airways, and others.
